Google’s Project Tango Tablet is Here on Nvidia Tegra K1

Few months ago, Google has demonstrated its new 3D sensing phone, which can learn the special dimensions of the surroundings by just moving with the phone. With depth sensors and motion-tracking camera it could build a 3D maps of your location.

It was just a prototype 5inch phone, but now Google’s Advanced Technologies Group is about to release a real device, which is slightly bigger than 5inch prototype, this is 7inch tablet powered by Nvidia’s Tegra K1 processor.

Not only this tablet comes with Tegra K1 processor, it has some 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It does have 4G LTE connection and 4 megapixel rear camera with depth and motion sensors. It is powered by Android KitKat.

Nvidia’s Tegra K1 is highly capable processor, and no wonder why Google has to put K1 and 4GB of ram, because of the intense 3D algorithms that are needed to run.

This is still a test device so you won’t be able to order them through any e-store or retail chain. But this device will go on sale for later this year through Google. You can sign-up now for registration. You will need a business email id for registration, meaning you can’t use free Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail emails addresses. Google site states the price will be $1024 dollars.

Check out their sign-up page.
